One of the problems i see in Gears2, is that when you shoot somebody you don't really feel like you are doing any damage. They just stand there and continue coming at you like nothing is happening. Now in the Killzone 2 videos, i feel that each time i pull the trigger i can feel the impact that makes on each and every person i hit.

This is one part where KZ2 pulls far ahead of Gears2, Gears2 just doesn't have the budget or resources to do this. Maybe Gears3 will have this with the next gen Unreal engine, but not now.

Does anyone else get this feeling from the games?

Gears 2 actually has stopping power implemented, whereas the first title had very little or none.

Watch the latest videos.  Then go and play the originals of both titles and decide which one has the best "chance" of being awesome

This wouldn't work and you know it. Killzone 2 might aswel just have been an entirely new ip.

Except for the same story setting, same gameplay evolutionised rather than revolutionised, same largely unproven developer (quality-wise), same allotted "Halo-killer" status by fanboys and same aesthetic feel.

Oh, and there is that name in the title.........

So basically you are saying that cod 4 with the killzone story wouldn't be killzone ? Afterall you are making an excuse by using gameplay which is alloted for every single fucking fps on the market. Right.

Futhermore everyone who has tried it has said it was awesome.

And i heard liberation was a really good title.

Also i doubt anyone even cares about killing halo anymore. The franchise has really sunk into the ground. People don't care anymore.

So basically we can sum it up to having the same name and story. Right. Thats why i said it might aswel just have been an entirely new ip. But ! with the same story it can't. Right. That is why i said that "it might aswell" ...
