With an RRP of £70 I don't think it'll fare well at all against Freeview boxes already offering most of the same functionality. After a quick Google, for the same price you can get boxes offering up to 160GB of recording space so the PlayTV box seems quite overpriced in comparison.
Given that Freeview is also set firmly in stone it'll be interesting to see if this takes off with the likes of Freesat trying to establish itself as the "Next Gen" Freeview.
