I was not as familiar with America's role in Iraq as I was in other, more known places and incidents, like Chile. George Washington believed in slavery. Abraham Lincoln believed that women shouldn't vote. Even though these were horrible opinions, we dont hold this against these people because of the times. |
George Washington had no avenue to stop slavery.
Abrham Lincoln had no avenue to allow universal sufferage.
Kennedy did not have to give the guy in iraq a list of names, a gun and a point in the right direction.
