That is horrible. And no I did not know that it was JFK. Both the Soviet Union and America were funding these dictatorship regimes at this time though, which is relevant when we grade a president's legacy. I was not as familiar with America's role in Iraq as I was in other, more known places and incidents, like Chile.
George Washington believed in slavery. Abraham Lincoln believed that women shouldn't vote. Even though these were horrible opinions, we dont hold this against these people because of the times.
