Ok, I know the holidays are approaching and sales will jump but lets just do a bit of simple math. Lets say your summer 2009 (June-Aug 09) asumption is correct, that gives the PS3 12 months (Aug 09). The PS3 would have to outsell the 360 by 450,000 consoles monthly to be even with 360 in 12 months.
Will the PS3 catch 360? (Yes). Is the PS3 a great system? (Yes). Will it do it in 12 months? (NO)! The 360 is a great consol also and is surprisingly still doing well. With the Sept price cut I think MS will keep the sales within more than 450k monthly, at least until summer 09. PS3 will probably catch 360 in March-August 2010. Just my opinion.
