However the GC is no longer taking profit, the PS2 is.... so although we can't figure it out without Sony and Nintendo releasing more detailed info, I bet the PS2 hardware profit is creeping up on GC now, if not past it.

No, I meant total.  Of course, without a link to an article I may have just imagined that so I'm not 100% sure.

As far as comparisons go, they should be compared based on the number of years on the market.  If you want to compare them against one another on years one was on the market while the other wasn't, we should be comparing product lines instead which would bring the Wii and PS3 into the equation.  I'm sure you can imagine how that would end.
