Definitely. Or atleast not "Winner takes all".
Edit: Also to be fair, between 1812 and the above date, only South Carolina and Florida didn't hold popular elections (if I remember correctly)
Edit 2: To be complete honest, as a FL resident... we should go back to the old system. We're not good at all that election stuff.
