There are many developers with fewer issues that would be better acquisitions. |
I doubt they give a crap about Tecmo themselves. Square is after the franchise rights. Ninja Gaiden, Rygar, Tecmo Bowl, Dead or Alive, Fatal Frame, Deathtrap Dungeon, etc. Those are established franchises that Square doesn't need to put in the effort to branch out past RPGs with.
