Seems like a consesnus to add mario kart and I will look into Zack and Wiki never heard of it before

You may have to check Toys'R'Us for Zack & Wiki (I think it is under $10 now) and it is actually the type of game that you may need to sit and play with the kids.  The game is basically multiple levels of point and click puzzles that can be fairly challenging even for adults, even so the look and feel of the game should appeal to a much younger audience.  On the plus side it supports multiple Wii-Motes so that everyone watching can help point things out etc...

I would personally only suggest Zack & Wiki if you're willing to sit down with the kids and help out occasionally (even if you just look up the answers on gamefaqs.com =p).

Also Boom Blox is a fantastic choice.  Each level has bronze, silver, and gold medals you can get depending on how well you do and the bronze are easy enough so that the younger ones should be able to progress without too much trouble but the golds are tough enough that it should provide a good challenge for anyone who wants one.  The only concern I would have is that a bunch of kids making throwing motions on at the TV could become dangerous for the TV...a strict rule about the straps is highly  advised =)

We currently have two 360's and  two PS2's in the house and I love to play with them so that seems like a great game and cheap too

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game
