That's exactly what I'm saying. There's a reason we have people in power - to regulate, to protect, to lead. In this case, chosen by the majority even.
If the Ossetians wanted independence they should have taken it up in diplomatic missions with the UN and Georgia without taking up arms. Then, when they do have power they can ask for aide from Russia.
I wouldn't like it if one of the Dutch provinces decides to riot, go up against other citicens then ask Germany to help them in the fray...
