Now you write that these countries have asked the U.S. to intervene ... and it is normal for your ... and if Ossetia has asked Russia to intervene in the conflict that is no longer normal ...
If you still do not understand, it is Georgia attacked Ossetia, to kill peaceful people including the Russian peacekeepers ... Georgia tanks giving women and children, cut and burned houses of civilians ... and those who are hiding in basements, so throwing grenades ... this is normal? and that Russia should have been done? watch as killing innocent civilians including Russians?
Afghanistan - this is a big mistake Soviet Union, not Russia ... no need to confuse, so different things ... but apparently the United States is not learned anything ...
no one can conquer Afghanistan! none ...
9 / 11 - do you really think that the events of 9 / 11 terrorists had planned Islamists? cutting the eye, is all the work of U.S. special services ... the greatest farce government against its people in particular ...
All this was done for world support and to justify the invasion of other states under the pretext of searching and destroying terrorists, as well as for imposing its military bases around the world ...

It was heads of state in Vietnam, Korea and Yugoslavia who asked to intervene, these weren't rebels or rioters. If the Georgian president asked the Russians to intervene then it would have been ok as this is the head of state asking for aide in a national crisis. As it stands now the Russians went in uninvited, violating borders with a militairy force.

See it this way. If I invite you to my house for a party I would not be surprised to find you at some point in my fridge. If I did not invite you but you came barging in my door to raide my fridge for all it's worth it's then decide to set up camp in the living room that  is something else entirely. In this case brake-in and enterning.

As for Afghanistan... don't kid yourself. Putin, Medvedev, they where all politicians during the Soviet era. They are schooled in that culture and the mentality is still pretty much alive there in the Kremlin. Apart from the fact that you can now buy a coke, cars made by GM and people can actually make profit doesn't mean the mentality has changed. As long as the people in government, in society still hold the same values, a name change for a country doesn't mean anything.

Also, none of the country's currently present in Afghanistan intend to conquer it.

In an earlier post I already mentioned that Gerogia did not handle the Ossetian conflict well... this is the third time I mentioned it but then still, it should be up to UN overseers to investigate instigations by Ossetians. Actually, by turning to mother Russia I think the Ossetians have made it harder for themselves to be declared independent by the rest of the world. If Russia hadn't stepped in then Georgia would have been the sole aggressor thus taking the blame and the international community would find it more logical to place the region under Russian control.

As not to go off-topic I will not go into inane complot-theories concerning 9/11.
