Masterpiece... what am I supposed to make out of that? From my opinion, lots of great games are masterpieces, but the greatest masterpieces I've ever played are Ocarina of Time, because it's gameplay is revolutionary and the gameplay is just flawless.
Half-Life 2 is another game I would like to honour here, as it has an awesome atmosphere and amazing shooter gameplay that's some of the best ever, the fps crème de la crème.
Then Super Mario Galaxy, because I can simply find nothing about this game that's not perfect. If there's one game that Miyamoto made that's able to surpass OoT in greatness, it's Super Mario Galaxy.
Then comes Metroid Prime, because, well... it's Metroid Prime. MP has a way of storytelling that's simply impossible in movies, and exploring Tallon IV is one of those things that every gamer has to do at least once in a lifetime.
Last but not least: Bioshock! Read my Half-Life 2 description to see what makes this game so uber awesome, but add in nifty RPG-elements, tons of different playing styles, and an amazing art-deco graphics direction. It's classic.

Other games that could make it up there, but that I haven't played yet are Shadow of the Colossus, ICO and Metal Gear Solid 4.
