I have two responses to this thread:
1) It's not a good sign when the "unreleased" list is more than twice as long as the "released" list. Especially since dozens of those unreleased games are vaporware.
2) Out of the 65 games on the "released" list, MORE THAN HALF are actually PSN games. That's really pushing things, unless you also want to give the Wii and 360 hundreds of "exclusives" from their Virtual Console, WiiWare, and XBox Live Arcade offerings. Take out the PSN games, and the list looks like this:
Folklore
Formula One Championship Edition
Full Auto 2: Battlelines
Genji: Days of the Blade
Grand Turismo 5 Prologue
Haze
Heavenly Sword
Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds
Lair
MLB ‘07: The Show
MLB ‘08: The Show
Metal Gear Solid Online
Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots
Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire
MotorStorm
NBA ‘07
NBA ‘08
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Resistance Fall Of Man
Ridge Racer 7
SingStar
Spider-Man 3: Collector’s Edition
The Eye of Judgment
The Godfather: The Don’s Edition
Time Crisis 4
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune
Untold Legends Dark Kingdom
Warhawk
You end up with 29 games that were actually sold at retail, and even this is pushing the envelope with "exclusives" like Spiderman 3: Collector's Edition and Godfather: Don's Edition. So congratulations! In the 20 months since launch, the PS3 has sent a little over 25 exclusive games out to be sold at retailers. You certainly made all of us doubters look foolish. ![]()
End of 2008 totals: Wii 42m, 360 24m, PS3 18.5m (made Jan. 4, 2008)
