ODC, I know you aren't going to like hearing it, but at 19 you should avoid having relationships that are big and emotional like that. You're just about to enter your 20's and have a lot to learn about yourself (and in about 6 more years you will, if you are lucky, now how foolish you are right now). So, don't have any relationship that is serious for quite a few years yet. Date, have fun. Don't get too caught up in it. I know not many kids your age want to hear this but while you may think you are an adult now, you really aren't going to understand what it means to be an adult till about 25 or so. So, the big message here is relax. Enjoy yourself, and only take your education and future profession serious. Everything else you can figure out later when you are more mature.
