And Shenmue had a development budget past KZ2 from what I understand - that doesn't always mean you get a better game.
I'm not trying to bash KZ2 with that statement, btw, I'm just saying that good games can come regardless of budgets most of the time.
I think it's too early to say which one will be better because Gears 2 is improving on a nearly flawless TPS design, while KZ2 is trying to improve on a rather mediocre franchise...But also can bring more potential new ideas to the shooter genre.
Why is Resistance 2 getting snubbed in this discussion? I personally would take R2 over KZ2.
