I have maintained that the Arcade SKU and Banjo-Kazaooie was MSFT's attempt to appeal to the budget-conscious family. The low price of Viva Pinata bolsters my position.

Still, given a choice between a $250 Wii and the $200 360, the vast majority of casuals will choose a Wii.  That is, if they can fine one.

Most will indubitably choose the Wii over the 360, but I think it is safe to presuppose the Wii will be hard to find this holiday season...making the aforementioned option appealing.
