Huh?  Who have they kicked out?

From what I've seen, they've only been expanding development.  Geurrilla Games had a staff of ~40 developers when making Killzone and Killzone: Liberation, but now they've passed the 150 mark, with almost every member of the original team still there.  Similar things are happening for other teams as well.  From what I hear, Fumito Ueda now has almost free reign at SCEI, after Ico and Shadow of the Colossus (though due to his perfectionist nature he hasn't hired more than 20-30 staff).

Every other developer they own continues to pump out IPs, and I'm sure all those who have moved to ps3 development have had to increase their team sizes at least somewhat (except for maybe Sony Bend, who basically works on nothing but PSP titles now).
