I think definitely to FFVII, somewhat to FFvXIII.
FFVII remake has just been talked about sooo much that there's already kind of a hype for it. Imagine what it'd be like if it was actually confirmed.
As for FFvXIII, it does close the wound, but just a little. While it's not a spinoff, it will always have a secondary status next to FFXIII in the eyes of the majority.
