Somebody hasn't been paying attention, here's whats happened thus far:
- S-E announced that it'll begin production of the 360 version after it finishes the PS3 version in Japan. Porting it over whilst doing the english translation for the PS3 english release
- S-E then announced that the PS3 will not suffer due to porting.
What part of those two statements makes you think that FFXIII won't take advantage of the PS3. AND after hearing Kojima state that he doesn't feel he made complete use of the PS3's capabilities on MGS4, what makes you think S-E (or anyone really) can for the PS3? Remember, the PS2 got it's best looking game at the end of it's lifespan (GoW2), so I doubt any console in the current gen will see it's full potential this year or next.
To answer OP: I'll wait till both games are released before I make a judgement, because we know very little about both games AND from the stuff found on the internet, we don't know what's real and what's not. The only judgement anyone could make is that FFXIII VS will probably look better because it'll be released later (probably with a newer version of the white engine).
@gilgamesh: no one has seen actual gameplay yet (in game screen apparently surfaced) but it's said to be action, so think faster then XII, more in line with KH (I would say).
