Hey guys i work at Ubisoft. Here's the walkthrough for the first level:
"Theres a burning plane in front of you. Walk around dazed for a few hours and then lay down. Watch out because a Polar Bear might show up (in which case you need to run). Press the Action Button (X) to say a catchphrase, like "What the HECK was that??" to continue the storyline. Jack will explain to you that they need a shelter.
Now you have to go find sticks to build a house. Look for some bamboo and press the Bamboo Button (A) to start hacking away at the bamboo with a fire axe. Each piece takes about 4 chops before you can take it. When you have about 150 pieces, go back to the beach.
WARNING: If you see your father's ghost, do NOT walk up to him! He will just disappear and you will faint. Try walking around him, keeping your distance. If you see your mother's ghost though, you can walk through her. Go all the way back to the beach.
Now hold the Bamboo Button (A) to build your bamboo hut at the beach. Now watch a cut-scene of a floating smoke weird thing and try not to get killed by it. If you get killed, just start the game over."
