Yes, it is. Why lower the price when your sales are steady. As stated in my reply Sony lowered there price (last year) to combat terrible sales. The 360 and Wii haven't lowered their price points because their sales have been steady. As you notice as well since PS3 sales have steadied this year Sony hasn't announced a price cut.

Nintendo's sales have been steady. Starting a year earlier than the competition and being 10 million units less than three years later is not exactly a good thing.
