Co-op mode is a great feature to have. If this rumour is true, it may not be so bad as long as the game is updated to include it quite quickly. If it is intended to be an integral part of the game, there may be some sections that require co-operative play in order to complete it. On the other hand, if the game is designed so that it can be completed in single player and the co-op mode is introduced later, it could make the game too easy in co-op and spoil the experience.
