I have to agree with the consistency of reviewing. That has been an issue lately with a great many reviewers. Often they seem to have no rhyme or logic perhaps because they are anticipating demographics. On one hand they treat all games as equal for purposes of rating, but on the other hand they place curves, and comparative inequities in the other.

After all how fair is it to use a curve for a game directed at small children, and then penalize another game for not being on par with other games in a similar genre directed at a general demographic of more mature players. One would think the game with more depth should have an edge.

I am just seeing the point. The reviewers need to start treating the fractured nature of gaming within their review system. Perhaps it is time to develop a set standard for games in a certain range, and use a different system for different age groups, or attach warnings to niche titles.
