Common sense wins again. Why would Sony ever buy Mirror's Edge exclusivity? There is no reason.

The same reason Sony would want MGS4 exclusivity, I'd assume. It looks like it's going to be a good game.

There seems to have been some anti-Mirror's Edge posters that popped up because of this controversy, I don't get it. When the game trailer premiered, everyone was in awe. I'm still relatively excited about the game. Are there people who aren't?

Common sense, to me, dictates that a console wants as many exclusives as it can get its hands on. Especially hyped exclusives. "Sony just didn't want it," is bull. Everybody wants it. Who doesn't want it? What console manufacturer doesnt' want a hyped 3rd party exclusive on their console? That's bogus, and runs contrary to common sense.

MGS4 is an established franchise and just because Mirror's Edge looks good, it means nothing. We have many examples of when a game looked good in previews but turned out to be bad and good games that sold poorly. Mirror's Edge is a brand new IP and even though I am personally very excited about the game, from the business stand point that IP is not worth that much.

That's similar to what I wrote in the original timed exclusivity thread. Sony money-hatting them for this game in particular seemed weird, because it's such an untested formula. Even the game that's most remotely close to it had a cross hair for depth perception (Metroid Prime).

I have high hopes for this game, but I get the feeling it's going to fall hard on it's face.
