The main difference is that film reviewers still have to go to school for movie reviews.
They are taught about movies and know more about them.
Game reviews are more like the random people on IMDB then movie critics.
Reviews aren't personal opinions, or rather they aren't supposed to be. They are supposed to be an actual judgement of a game that shouldn't be swayed by if you like a certain genre of game.
A good fighting game should get the same score as a good RPG game, even if you are an RPG freak and can't figure out the simplest fighting combos.
People who treat game reviews as if they are supposed to be someones personal opinion generally don't understand the point of criticism.
