Nintendo isn't putting gaming magazines or websites out of business, they're quite effective at putting themself out of business ...
The Wii is (by far) the most popular console on the market at the moment, and yet websites and magazines are devoting the least ammount of effort towards covering the Wii. Take a look at most multiplatform game reviews and you will see what I mean; on the day/week of release of a game for the PS3 and XBox 360 there will be dozens of reviews on all major sites (and in all major magazines) for the PS3 and XBox 360 versions of the game, and weeks later the Wii will still not have had 10 reviewers get around to reviewing the game. Look at Madden 2009 (XBox 360: 24 Reviews, PS3: 16 Reviews, Wii: 7 Reviews), Alone in the Dark (XBox 360: 39 Reviews, PC: 11 Reviews , PS2: 9 Reviews, Wii: 8 Reviews), and Lego Indiana Jones (XBox 360: 46 Reviews, PS3: 28 Reviews, Wii: 16 Reviews, PC: 11 Reviews , PS2: 11 Reviews).
