I am sorry but anybody with half a brain will find PC gaming very easy. And with a couple of tricks you can make PC gaming even easier than console gaming.
1. Disc Swapping
I regularly use no-cd patches on single player games because I hate switching CDs and my disc reading speed cant compare to my hard drive speed.
2. Online
PC online is significantly better than that of consoles. Even if we ignore the fact that it is completely free, there are so many other factors that make it better. Easier communication (unless you have a mic on the console you cant really talk), huge modding communities for a lot of games and usually better clan support.
3. Costs
PC hardware is definitely more expensive but once you built yourself a nice PC it doesnt cost that much to upgrade. For a hundred bucks you can buy yourself a video card that can run pretty much every game on medium and high. Not to mention that for PC you dont have to spend money on additional controllers and accessories, and games cost less.
4. Downloading games
I am not talking piracy but about the ability to get a lot of games out there by buying and downloading them online. Steam is the biggest example but Gamestop is doing it as well, along with many other companies.
5.Functionality
I remember when PS3 price was 600$ and a lot of fanboys were claiming that it is a very good price for it once you consider all the features it has. Well, PC has more, Word Processing, Photo and Video editing, programming, etc. etc. And I have 100% control over what features I want to have or not. While Microsoft and Sony are scrambling to make a model that satisfies the needs of most consumers, I can create a PC that can satisfy my needs, and if I need something more later then I can just add it in.
6. Just fucking google it
If you have a problem then just google it, chances are there will be a solution for it that you can follow. Years ago I had no idea what spyware is, now I know everything there is to know for practical purposes and my system is completely clean.
7. Backwards compatibility
Can your PS3 play PS2 games? If you have a 40gig then no. Can your 360 play original Xbox games? Yeah, about 30% of them. Can your Wii play NES games? Yes, except i need to pay for them again. Well, I can play games that are as old as I am on my PC which usually requires just minor fiddling.
PCs are better, deal with it, live with it. That's why they cost more and that's why Microsoft and Sony made their consoles to be as close to PCs as possible but stuck themselves into the area in which it became to complex for previous console gamers but still to gimped for PC gamers.
