Actually, the DS can aswell, the Miracle of the R*DS (I put in a * in case it was a banned topic here). I say don't get a PSP because it's really not a playstation portable, more like a playstation temporary 1.5, because battery life isn't fantastic (enough to get by) and the graphics are in between PS1 and PS2. Reasons not to buy: 1) It's not very portable, and thus you can play the much better, home consoles at home 2) It had a good run of a few good games, but that seems to have dried up. What's coming is stuff that should have been there earlier on (Kingdom Hearts, FF), aside from those two games, the only other game worth looking at is patapon 2. |
I love how you worded that contradictory statement in order to seem not as contradictory. "PSP has no games coming........ except these 3 that ought to be pretty darn good......" I'll admit, there's not a whole lot on the horizon, which sucks if you've had a PSP from the beginning, but if you don't already have a PSP, then you have these three games to look forward to, plus a HUGE backlog of great titles. Why does it matter if they're old if you haven't played them yet? Old or not, wouldn't they still be new to you?
It's like someone who only owned a GC or Xbox last gen was interested in getting a PS2 now and you told them "Well, there's not much of note coming out for the PS2 these days, so you should forget about it." Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
My Top 5:
Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger
My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3
and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.
