Don't deny it, because the fact of the matter is, Killzone was meant to be the Halo killer, KZ2 looks good so it's going to get the same title AND CoD4 is the reigning multiplayer FPS king at the moment, of course you'd set Killzone 2 upto those two games because they are what it needs to beat to be remembered.
Further proof, Halo is a xbox game, since 360 owners won't get to play KZ2, why call out to them? Why not leave it at Resistance and CoD4?
Anyway, aside from the graphics, this game is barely on my radar. It's not entirely the games fault (it seems like a very "me too" experience as it doesn't do much to stand out) but I'm more hyped for what's ahead (R2 and LBP), both of which seem like much more "complete" games that don't rely on a single draw (i.e graphics).
By the way, it's less shutting down what's "amazing" on the PS3 and more bringing the rampaging fanboys back to earth. Killzone may be a good game, it may even be great, but it hasn't shown enough to distinguish itself from the console FPS kings (in the same way bad company failed to do so, despite being a fun game).
Why Hype a game that's a while from release, just to see the Hype cool down on release date?
