You couldn't be anymore wrong. Anyone who was good on a PS3 would be ten times better while gaming FPS style on a 360. The 360 controller aligns the X, Y axis much better than the PS3 does with the analog stick formation. If you play the games back to back on both systems you'll realize that the 360 controller gives you ease of motion on FPS or racing games, where as on the PS3 you have side by side controls for moving and crosshair. Also the 360 provides a back trigger. Microsoft obviously did more research than sony on the ergonomics of the controllers. Obviously PS3 is better for fighter games. Thats the only games 360 owners complain about, because the PS3 controller is superior when it comes to that. It has a much better directional pad than the 360. The 360 triggers also allow you to feel like you're actually pulling the trigger of a gun while the controller shakes, The PS3 controller cannot provide this either. Also just to let you know one of the reasons FPS (multiplat) games were inferior on the PS2 was because of the controller, and Sony now goes making their top games FPS and don't even change the controller? Thats really stupid. Strengths of the 360 controller (when played multiplat): FPS, Racing, Sports. Strengths of the PS3 controller (Same): Fighting games and any game involving major use of the directional pad. The are pretty much equal with everything else. Sony should've changed the controller concept to pave the way for their next generation of games. The Six Axis is useless and you know it. |
No offence but i have no problems playing fps on ps3. Have you concidered that games can be mapped properly. I have played on a 360 and i can honestly say i like the ps3 controller layout more.
There is a difference between facts and opinions. An opinion can easily be a fact to someone else though. Think about it.
