Gears of War and Killzone are two different types of games. Gears of War 2, will include meat shields, movable cover, and chainsaw battles. Thats hardly "innovative", but its "evolutionary".
Killzone 2- if you read the OP has the badges system. Where you can combine two skill trees into one character. Like an RPG. Thats innovative and revolutionary. If you compare the Gears 2 MP previews to the Killzone 2 MP previews, there is no contest as to which journalists like more.
