You could try a USB powered web TV DVR device or capture box, but they often cost about as much as the Wii itself, even for the cheaper ones.
Haven't tried it myself, but give me some time and I'll give it a shot.
Unless you're visiting some place really rustic or 3rd world poor, I would think they would have TVs in their rooms.
