Printed magazines are good for a laugh and some outdated information. Generally just something to read while taking a dump, and not much else.

I'd rather see something like a panel of 3 people reviewing each game, each person with a different set of tastes and let them actually discuss the game without having to apply a score to it. Something like Siskel and Ebert how they would go back and forth and talk about whatever movie it was and why they did or didn't like whatever they saw.

The backlash at Nintendo in from LOLGAMEJOURNALISTS at a time when they're utterly destroying the competition shows that they're just not adapting and trying to figure out how to look at things in another way.

That sector of gaming will never be popular for the same reason pro gaming never took off--it's populated by insufferable asses who think their opinion actually means something.

I imagine some magazine will come out that gets away from that mentality and will be worth subscribing to, but it will be because it will actually have compelling articles rather than just being 75 pages of pre-release commercials.
