Sony is well-known lately to say one thing then retract, then say it again, then retract again.
As far as I'm concerned this is just a cat-and-mouse game that Sony and Microsoft are playing - one to gain second place, the other to maintain second place. Neither one can afford a price cut but without one, them consoles ain't sellin'!
I have no hurry to buy either system, as my PC delivers the "hardcore" gaming I enjoy at the moment. Besides, this could turn out into a super price war where both Sony and Microsoft lose - but us consumers win! Yay!
Christmas this year will be the BOMB.
