When I type FF - people expect it to mean Final Fantasy, When I type PS3 it means Playstation 3, when I type fantasy the general expectation is that im talking about a western flavour of fantasy.

No, when you type fantasy the general expectation is something in the fantasy setting that has existed far longer than video games have. You are the only person I have ever met that somehow thinks it is attached solely to WRPG. You might notice a bunch of people rattled of RPGs of various genres and countries of origin in this very thread that have a fantasy setting.

I've met you?

Fantasy RPG - As this is an English speaking forum, the default reference for RPG is WRPG unless otherwise stated. It either means all RPGs as in " I like RPGs", but when referencing a specific title its usage narrows to the Western Flavour most of the time. Furthermore if the meaning would become aparant in the OP as I didn't mention a single JRPG, only two other WRPG titles.

Fantasy JRPG - Notice the J denotes its different origins to the other RPGs. When speaking of JRPGs people usually use the term JRPG to specify the origins and type of game, not the more generic RPG.

Fantasy WRPG - RPG from a western country.

How about this to make it even clearer.

"Hey you girls" - When speaking to 2 or more girls

"Hey you guys" - When speaking to 2 or more boys

"Hey you guys" - When speaking to a mix of at least 2 boys and girls.
