Masterpiece here is not defined by box office recipets or critical reception. By masterpiece I mean a film that you think is, for whatever reason, one of the best films ever made. Maybe its the soundtrack, maybe its really original, maybe it just a film that makes you happy even when you're really depressed. Thats cool. It doesnt even have to be a film thats mainstream. So come on, whats your masterpiece? (and tell us all why as well if you want)
My masterpieces would be -
1. The Terminator (special effects, direction, script, Arnold Schwarzenegger & Linda Hamiltons performances)
2. Casablanca (the lines (e.g "play it sam, "round up the usual suspects"), Bogarts performance, 'As Time Goes By')
3. Forrest Gump (visual effects, writing, Tom H performance, music)
