The only thing I can think is in a sense, the PS3 already failed. It lost a crap load of market share and went from being sure fire winner to bottom rung fighting to take the lead. In my eyes even if it takes the lead in the end(And I still hold that wii will end up in a lead though not as major as PS2 had) it's still a failure because of those facts.
