If 10 levels cost $3 then by working in real life, you could get enough money to buy 50 levels. Thus you gain 5 times as many levels in 1/3 of the time.

And of course, you can always get more money, but you can NEVER get that time of your life you spent grinding for levels back.

Maybe they will just sell you DLC that completes the game for you.  If we assume that the game is 30 hours long, that is $450 worth of your time that you do not have to spend playing the game!

 

Despite bolding what I wrote, it's clear you didn't read it very carefully. 

Let me highlight the relevant part in red which you seem to have missed.

The point  is that if a game is not fun, you just should not play it.  If you do not enjoy leveling up you characters in a JRPG, play a different game.
