Well Shawn Johnson did win one gold medal.

Shawn Johnson finally got the gold medal she came to Beijing for in the balance beam on Tuesday.

"I finished off the Olympic Games with, to me, the most perfect ending ever," Johnson said, beaming as she tugged at the ribbon around her neck. "To finally get the gold medal ... on my very last routine meant the world to me.""

 

I was just about to tell him the same thing.  I watched that performance on the beam.  It was awesome.

About the Chinese gymnasts, I knew something was going to happen when I heard the old American coach talk about it last week.  Someone was going to do some digging.
