Btw, the US team just screwed up on the 4x100 meter relay for both men and women. Are they actually afraid to face the Jamaicans in the final?

I would be very afraid. It is just that I don't think the US relay team has been in such a situation before, normally they're always the favorite for the title and only their own screw ups can keep them from winning the title. Could they actually have felt extra pressure which caused the failures in the series?

Or maybe sometimes it isn't that simple to pass a baton while running faster than 99.99999999% of the world's population can. Shit happens.

I'm pretty sure the passing of the baton happens at around the same speed for all teams, so I really don't think it is any more difficult for the fastest teams.
