But if there was going to be a hardware adjustment with a smaller chipset I would think it would produce less heat, meaning less hardware meant to cool the PS3 (like fans and shii) meaning a small decrease in weight over all. I wouldn't expect hardware that only adds a slightly different controller and a larger HDD (MEMORY WISE NOT DIMENSIONS) to increase weight by itself.
I mean a pound is not huge, but I don't think the DS3 weighs a whole pound more than the Sixaxis.
