Is it 50% transparent like a hidden file would be? Provided you have the driver disc, you could try uninstalling that and see if it makes a difference.

Edit: You're talking about a situation where you don't have the camera connected, right?

No Its connected, but when I disconnect it, it goes away. So it should work but everytime I connect it it tries to install drivers, but the drivers don't install correctly it says.

It sounds like the devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices variable setting isn't effective. Try this:

Close Device Manager and disconnect your camera.

Go to your start menu, find Command Prompt, right click on it and Run as Administrator.

Type the following:

SET devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1

Open Device Manager again, and go to View->Show hidden devices, then View->Devices by connection. Scroll to the bottom. Do you see a few devices listed there that are 50% transparent, like a hidden file would be?
