I think people make big mistake seeing blu ray as something that will win the War for sony, HD adoption rates are still very low, and so are blu ray sales compared to standard DVD. Blu ray is still a luxury owned by a few, and this is not going to change quickly. Most people that buy movies still dont care if they HD or not (like myself).
People say streaming can overtake optical Blu ray, hell blu ray at the moment is nowhere near overtaking DVD's.
And i think in near future digital download will be a big competition to BR, it's just a matter of time. Sony needs more than blue ray and 10 year plan to pass Xbox, because Wii is out of their range.
ps. It is v. arguable that MGS4 is the best game this generation, but it's your opinion.
