You obviously missed the E3 announcement where they said that Netflix in particular for Live are releasing the HD films as quick as possible. And on Live they are instant downloads. Are you aware that MS have paid money to them to have the latest films available straight away? How do you think they make money if everything is free for Live gold users? In the demo they showed the titles of films like The Bourne Ultimatum, Hitman and Pirates of The Caribean. Also my latest 360 mag have actually had the privelege of watching Pirates of The carribean 3 in 1080p downloaded from Netflix via Live and said that on their Toshiba 50" there was no noticeable difference from any BLU RAY FILM quality. |
Just b/c they demoed a few new movies doesn't necessarily mean they're going to have all the latest and greatest. I hope they do, but there's still a huge price hurdle (as mentioned in my previous posts) that prevents Netflix from negating Blu Ray.
My Top 5:
Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger
My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3
and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.
