I don't consider System Shock 1 to be a RPG. It is an adventure/shooter hybrid for the most part, with some inventory management thrown in. System Shock 2 is a bit closer to an RPG with a choice in creating a character, but even then, the game still played pretty much like a linear shooter/adveture games no matter which path you took.
