I frequently put podcasts on my Ipod for work. Sometimes I prefer a bit of chatter over music. I just thought I'd make a topic where we could share podcasts that we think are interesting, broaden horizens or just discover something interesting. All of these I'm about to mention are free on Itunes, so if you see something that seems interesting look them up.
Personally I listen to
Fresh Air podcast: National Public Radio talk show with Terry Gross, they interview a wide range of people from authors to economists to musicians and anything in between, great great show. Highly recomend it for anybody and everybody.
Intelligence Squared: NPR again, but this time it's a debate series. Wide ranging topics such as "Should their be a legal organ market" or "Should the US be the world's Police" or "should steroids be allowed in sports"? They pick a topic to debate on, get a panel of people who are knowledgable on the topic to debate in an organized format. the audience votes for or against the motion before the debate begins, and then votes again after the debate to see how many people were swayed in which direction by the debate. Really cool, since you feel involved, food for thought.
Nintendo Voicechat:IGN nintendo podcasts, a bunch of dufus's but it's good to hear videogame chatter sometimes
Game Scoop: See above, except it's for all consoles not just Nintendo
NPR Books: Fairly self explanatory, National Public Radio discussion of recently released books and authors
All Songs Considered: NPR again, this time on music
NPR Food Podcast: Again Fairly self explanatory. Discusses resteraunts around the world, various trends in food, interviews chefs ect ect.
Again All of these are free on Itunes so look them up if they sound interesting.
