Generalizing much?

I don't think the government really has any right to legislate morals, let alone marriage.  It should be left to the churches to decide how they want to handle their traditions. With that said gays and lesbians need to, at the very least, be allowed to form a union that is given equal legal footing (and requirements) to that of marriage.

I agree. Furthermore, IMO, the government should not have the right to recognize one church over another. If someone wanted to create a Klingon church of Jedi Homosexuality it should have as much sway in the eyes of a secular state as the catholic church, namely none. Of course this would mean choosing between granting tax exempt to all weird "churches" or to none.

Hey if they are willing to jump through the hoops to get the governmental status that all churches go through then more power to their Homosexual Jedi Klingon congregation.

So you have a name for your church yet?
