That's not innovation, that's greater quantity of something that already exists. Just like a platformer with 543 weapons wouldn't be an innovation over Ratchet and Clank. Innovation isn't that simple I'm afraid.
And i don't even know if that many players on a map at once will turn out to be a good thing, instead of a cluster fuck.
