Personally I feel that Ratchet & Clank qualifies more for a mascot. To me it achieved this through sales and a solid following. I would love to know why Sony decided against embracing a product they ALREADY have further.
...Trying this with a new UNPROVEN IP, is a gamble. I can see Sony gambling if it was a leader this generation, but putting as many eggs in this basket is a definite risk.
The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!
