Diablo is a top down, point and click dugeon crawler RPG. Is TooHuman a top down, point and click dungeon crawler RPG? No. Know your genres before you try to use BS comparisons to make excuses. If Diablo counted hits, was in a full 3d person 3d plane and attempted a juggle system, then yes, GOW would be a clone of Diablo. Too bad for your blind deluded ass kissing arguments, it's not.

GOW = 3d 3rd person hack and slash + combo system + upgradable combat skills + 4 way dodging + juggle/air combo system

DMC = 3d 3rd person hack and slash + combo system + upgradable combat skills + 4 way dodging + juggle/air combo system

NG = 3d 3rd person hack and slash + combo system + upgradable combat skills + 4 way dodging + juggle/air combo system

TooHuman = 3d 3rd person hack and slash + combo system + upgradable combat skills + 4 way dodging + juggle/air combo system

Oh what do know? I guess that's not enough for TooHuman to be compared to the rest of it's own genre.

"bu,bu,bu,but TooHuman has a techtree!!... and the actions are mapped to the analog stick, and the main character is a robot!!!!".... cut the crap already. Put TooHuman in it's own mystical genre all you want, I guess if that's the case, I'll promote Resistance to "The FPS, that includes chimeran aliens, that's based in alternative world history, exclusively for the PS3, starring Nathan Hale" genre. This way, you can't possibly compare the gameplay to COD4 or HL2 since they're apple and oranges.

Did Diablo come out when dungeon crawlers were often 3D? No. Did it come out when 3rd person view games were the usual norm? No. Using the argument of 2D vs. 3D, mouse vs. Joystick is just stupid. But disregarding that part of your statement--

Do you have any idea whatsoever what a dungeon crawler clone of Diablo in a 3rd person view would look like today? How about replacing the mouse with a stick? Still don't see it? How about the randomly generated maps? Or the loot system? Really, you don't think its in the same genre as Diablo, despite the people who made it saying that it is? Then theres not much else anyone can say to reason with you.

P.S. Name calling got old in 2nd grade.

Good points. Fable should be compared as well then, given those descriptions up there.

Oh, and Mass Effect as well.

ShadowBlind: Reason? I did all my reasoning already, and it's you two excuse makers that just don't seem to get it. I also enjoy the fact that you completely ignored the comparisons I've made regarding the game's combat compared to other hack and slash games. Good job on that, but please revisit it when you think you have the logic to make sense of things.

And secondly, I'd like to make something very clear since you can't get it through your head. No one here is saying that TooHuman is NOT a RPG, action game, or w/e you guys are calling it. The entire point of the matter is that you two are trying to negate the point that the animation and combat looks very clunky and robotic for a game that is touted as "a dungeon crawler with style". You both are trying to give TooHuman an excuse for having unimpressive combat visuals when compared to games like GOW,NG, and DMC. The only difference in TooHuman is that it happens to be a dungeon crawler with RPG aspects, but in the end the core gameplay and combat is still in the same catagory as the games that you guys are so afraid to compare it to.

JaggedSac: Oh really? Well, being the fact that I haven't played Fable, I can't deny you. But why don't you show me a video of fable and where the combos and air juggles are? Either way, by the looks of it. Fable 2's combat looks much more polished than TooHuman.

And is there really a combo system in Mass Effect? is there 4 way dodging also? or are you trying to make BS to save your argument again? Do better next time.

Oh yeah, And 1 more thing guys.

I went to EBgames.com and went to see what genre they're selling the game under. Take a look.

GOW - action/adventure

NG2 - action/adventure

DMC - action/adventure

Fable 2 - Role-Playing

Mass Effect - Role-Playing

Diablo 2 - Role-Playing

Too Human - action/adventure

But wait, lets see what the game studios themselves think.

SiliconKnights - Step into the world of "Too Human(TM)," the next-generation third-person epic action-game from famed developer Silicon Knights®.

Lionhead Studios - Fable™ is a ground-breaking role-playing adventure game from Peter Molyneux, in which your every action determines your skills, appearance, and reputation.

Capcom - From the producer of the original Devil May Cry ™ and Resident Evil 4 comes the next installment in the hugely successful stylized action series that has so far achieved global sales of nearly seven million units.

Tecmo - Ninja Gaiden, the critically acclaimed cut-and-slash action game, took the action genre by storm with its unique and innovative gameplay, killer story, and mind-blowing graphics. Now you can experience even more of Ryu Hayabusa's deadly artistry in Ninja Gaiden® BLACK, the newest installment in the series, slashing its way to Xbox®.

Well there you have it. The evidence makes my comparisons pretty clear to me that the studio is selling TooHuman as an action game opposed to RPG/Dungeon crawler.

P.S. Keep in mind , I am in no way trying to pass judgement as if I think this game is going to suck. I personally can't wait to spend some time with this game as soon as i rent it, I give everygame a chance and toohuman is no exception. I'm just calling it as I see it and trying to figure out if you guys are defending this game b/c you WANT IT to succeed or if you really can't see the flaws involved. Regardless, I doubt it's the latter, I honestly think you guys feel that you're entitled to defend this game because you'd want to balance out the opinions of the fanboys that will never play it for themselves.
